This course will show you how to care for your naturalistic border in late winter, preparing it for the growing season ahead.
Together, we’ll cover the key jobs carried out between late February and mid-March, including cutting back old growth, thoughtfully managing weeds, mulching the soil, dividing plants, and supporting species that are at risk of “flopping”.
Along the way, you’ll learn why these jobs matter, how they support healthy, resilient planting, and how to approach them without turning your garden into a checklist of tasks.
By the end of the course, you’ll have the confidence and skills to care for your own borders in a way that feels calm, manageable, and in tune with nature.
