Absolutely. Restorative Gardeners is designed to be completely beginner‑friendly. You don’t need any prior knowledge at all; the membership gives you clear, simple guidance that helps you understand what to do, why you’re doing it, and how to build confidence step by step. Instead of overwhelming you with jargon or long task lists, it teaches you the core principles of naturalistic gardening in a calm, supportive way, so you can start noticing your garden, making small changes, and seeing real progress even if you’re brand new to it.

Definitely. Even if you’ve been gardening for decades, you’ll still find the membership deeply valuable. Though beginners are welcomed and supported, the main purpose of Restorative Gardeners isn’t about beginner tips; it’s about helping gardeners of all experience levels to see their space through a more ecological, pattern‑based lens. Long‑time gardeners can gain a fresh insight, a clearer understanding of why things work, and new ways to create resilient, naturalistic planting that feels more intentional and less effortful. It’s a space to deepen your knowledge, refine your instincts, and stay inspired alongside other committed gardeners.

Yes, our community welcomes gardeners of all experience levels, including horticulture professionals. We can all learn from each other. The membership gives you a deeper, ecology‑led framework for understanding plant behaviour, patterns, and long‑term resilience, which goes far beyond routine horticultural tasks. It’s a space to refine your instincts, expand your ecological thinking, and explore naturalistic planting in a way that supports both your professional practice and your own creative growth.

Not at all. Joining Restorative Gardeners doesn’t mean leaving your garden to run wild. The membership is about working with nature, not abandoning your space. You’ll learn how to create planting that’s intentional, resilient, and beautifully structured, while still supporting wildlife and natural processes. Whether you prefer a tidy look, a soft naturalistic feel, or something in between, the principles we teach can easily adapt to your own tastes and style, rather than forcing a “wild” aesthetic.

Yes, you can absolutely be a member even if you don’t have your own garden. The membership teaches you how to observe plants, understand natural patterns, and build confidence in ecological gardening; skills you can use anywhere, from balconies and shared spaces to future gardens.

Yes! You can make a meaningful difference for wildlife without spending much at all. Though it can be expensive to buy potted plants to fill a space, propagating your own costs next to nothing. There’s plenty of help and support for members who want to get better at growing their own plants for free!

You certainly can. Whilst growing plants in the soil is ideal for building soil life, it’s not possible in every situation. Many naturalistic plants can be grown in containers and can still go a long way to support wildlife. So you can still make a real difference even in a rental.

Yes, eventually. For now, the botanical names course is the only free course. Our efforts are currently going towards creating content that will be just for members, but in time there will be another free course.

Yes, you can revisit the free course as many times as you like. Once you’re enrolled, you have ongoing access, so you’re free to rewatch the videos, redo the activities, and return to any section whenever you need a refresher or want to build your confidence further.

The free course lives inside Restorative Gardeners. If you’ve signed up for the free course already, you’ll need to log in to return to the course.

Those menu options are there so you can explore the structure of the membership and get a feel for what’s inside, but full access is reserved for members. Think of them as a preview; you can see the topics, the flow, and the kinds of resources available, so you have a good idea of what you’ll get if you decide to join.

Yes. You can cancel your membership at any time. There’s no minimum commitment, no lock‑in, and no awkward hoops to jump through. If you decide the membership isn’t right for you, you can end your subscription whenever you choose, and you’ll keep access until the end of your current billing period.
